From one legend to another. Paul Simon doffed his cap to George Harrison last night (September 23rd) as the second performer of Conan O’Brien’s week-long tribute to the late Beatles star’s musical career. His performance of the classic ‘Abbey Road‘ track ‘Here Comes The Sun‘ can be seen below.

Beck kicked things off on Monday with a cover of ‘Wah Wah‘ as the re-release and restoration of Harrison’s first six solo albums arrives this week. “George Harrison is a musical icon and one of the most imaginative and influential artists of all time,” Max Hole, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group International has said of the new compilation.

“It’s been great for us to work with Dhani and Olivia Harrison and all of the team behind The Apple Years project, a vital part of his legacy.”

There’s also a tribute concert coming up at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on September 28th when Brian Wilson and members of The Strokes and The Killers are ready to perform.
