‘Last January‘ is the first official single to be taken from The Twilight Sad‘s forthcoming new album ‘Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave‘ – have a listen via Soundcloud below.
The track is showcasing an album which was written largely in the same location which the band created their sublime 2007 debut ‘Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters‘, again with Peter Katis.
“We spent a lot of time at home when writing this new record, we got to hang out with old friends and get back to some sort of normality, which I think really helped me clear my mind and focus in on writing these new songs,” frontman James Graham says. “I had a lot I wanted to get off my chest and I’ve done that with this new record.”
Before the album is released on October 27th, The Twilight Sad will play live UK dates at Manchester’s Soup Kitchen (October 5th), the Boston Music Rooms in London (6th), Nottingham Bodega (7th) and Edinburgh’s Pleasance (9th).
