Arctic Monkeys picked up the Independent Album Of The Year prize thanks to the 2013 LP ‘AM‘ while their label Domino won Independent Label Of The Year at last night’s AIM Awards.
The fourth annual ceremony took place at The Brewery in Clerkenwell, London, once again with the aim of celebrating a year’s worth of the best independent music.
Acts also going home with awards included London Grammar, who were named Independent Breakthrough Of The Year, while Twin Atlantic won Independent Track Of The Year for ‘Heart & Soul‘. As previously announced, the Innovator Award went to Steve Goodman of Hyperdub Records, the Pioneer Award was presented to Martin Mills of Beggars Group and Richie Hawtin won Outstanding Contribution To Music.
