Pulled Apart By Horses were at Maida Vale yesterday (August 13th) for a session on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show in which they, kind of, sort of, covered Nirvana‘s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit‘.

Also notable during the three-song set was a first play of ‘Grim Deal’, which we’ll see on the band’s new album, ‘Blood‘. It’s all up on the BBC now so if you’re able to have a listen below.

Pulled Apart By Horses have spoken of their desire to be a touch more melodic on their third album which will be released on September 8th. After working with the hugely respected producer Gil Norton at Monnow Valley for 2012’s ‘Tough Love‘, the group went back to Leeds and a more humble, old fashioned approach for their latest LP.

To celebrate the new album, they’re launching their own brand of ‘Blood’ beer, made with the West Yorkshire Revolutions Brewery. The ale will be available for a limited time at specialist UK pubs after being launched at the Brudenell Social Club on August 29th.
