There’s a few more North American shows in the offing for The Kills not too long after they wrapped a run in May and June at the Governors Ball festival in New York.
As they continue European commitments, Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince have added more gigs on the other side of the Atlantic at New York’s Terminal 5 on October 21st, the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on the 26th, Seattle’s Neptune Theatre (27th), Portland’s Wonder Ballroom (28th), the Fillmore in San Francisco (29th) and finally The Forum in Los Angeles on October 31st.
By then, there could be a new album at least very close to being released; speaking to Nashville Scene back in May, Mosshart confirmed the duo are recording new material and chasing ‘something completely different’ as they do so.
“We’re trying to make a record that’s completely different,” she said. “Anything that sounds like it could have sat quite easily on any of the other records will probably get scrapped or reworked, played on some kind of different instruments with a completely different kind of rhythm and a completely different kind of feel.”
