Robert Plant ‘baffled’ by Jimmy Page and possible Led Zeppelin reunion

ledzeppelinwideThey’ve been at loggerheads over a possible Led Zeppelin reunion all year. Jimmy Page definitely wants it. At one point Robert Plant seemed to want it, now he definitely doesn’t.

And in his latest comments on the subject, during an interview with the Daily Express, Plant has suggested he is unsure about Page’s motives for wanting to get one rock’s greatest bands back out on the road.

“I feel for the guy,” he says. “He knows he’s got the headlines if he wants them. But I don’t know what he’s trying to do. So I feel slightly disappointed and baffled.”

Later, Plant also reveals he opened the door for the pair to work together on an acoustic project, but didn’t find Page reciprocating the interest. “A couple of years ago I said, ‘If you’ve got anything acoustic, let me know. I’ll give it a whirl’,” he adds. “It was hands across the water.”

The latest round of re-releases for Led Zeppelin’s back catalogue were confirmed yesterday (July 29th), with the untitled or more commonly ‘Led Zeppelin IV‘ album coming complete with the fabled Sunset Sound version of ‘Stairway To Heaven‘.
