Death From Above 1979 have unveiled the full tracklist for their comeback album ‘The Physical World‘, and have also added three UK shows to their touring plans.

The duo are returning later this year after originally calling it a day in 2006. Speaking to NME last month, Sebastian Grainger appeared to suggest they had bowed to public pressure in getting the band back together. “No matter what Jesse and I do, on whatever scale of success it’s sat on, there’s always some kind of reference to Death From Above,” he said.

“It’s only frustrating because it’s so lazy. So we’re putting out a Death From Above record and if the press is like, ‘It’s not what we expected,’ or however they react to it, it’s like, ‘Well, you’ve been fucking asking for it’.”

The album has been produced by the Oasis and Nine Inch Nails cohort Dave Sardy, and will be supported with shows at the London Electric Ballroom on October 20th, the Manchester Gorilla (21st) and the Garage in Glasgow (22nd).

In addition, new track ‘Trainwreck 1979‘ has been premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show and can now be heard below.
