The famed, original Sunset Sound version of Led Zeppelin‘s classic track ‘Stairway To Heaven‘, ditched by the band upon their return to London in 1971, will be among the extra material set to be included on the latest round of album re-releases.

In October, Led Zeppelin’s officially untitled, but commonly referred ‘Led Zeppelin IV‘ album, and 1973’s ‘House Of The Holy‘, will follow ‘I‘, ‘II‘ and ‘III‘ in being reissued in remastered form.

A statement promises ‘Led Zeppelin IV’ will carry, ‘The fabled, alternate version ‘Stairway To Heaven’, mixed at the Sunset Sound Studio in Los Angeles which lets fans hear one of the most revered songs of all time as they have never heard it before’.

Also on the new edition of one of the most celebrated rock albums are alternate versions of ‘Rock and Roll‘, ‘Black Dog‘ and ‘When The Levee Breaks‘, as well as previously unheard mixes of ‘Misty Mountain Hop‘, ‘Four Sticks‘ and ‘Going To California‘.
