Camden Crawl – one of the UK’s longest running and best known musical showcases – has entered liquidation, reports Music Week.

An email sent to the company from Camden Crawl founder Lisa Paulon reads: “Please be aware that unfortunately Crawl Promotions Limited T/A Camden Crawl is experiencing financial difficulty. It is with great regret that the Board has decided that there is no option but to place the Company into Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation.”

Camden Crawl took a break in 2013 but returned just last month under the new guise of CC14 when acts including PAWS, Miraculous Mule, Tall Ships, The Black Tambourines and The Crookes performed.

Unsurprisingly the move has affected those bands; independent label Invada Records has claimed two of their associated acts have yet to be paid. “Camden Crawl gone under without paying 2 Invada bands,” they wrote. “They point blank refused to pay advance deposits and used the #TrustUs mantra throughout.”
