Black Sabbath play the classics at British Summer Time festival

There was a distinct classic rock feel at British Summer Time yesterday (July 4th) as Black Sabbath headlined the Hyde Park festival after performances from Soundgarden, Motorhead, Faith No More and Soulfly.

Stone cold classics like ‘War Pigs‘ and ‘Paranoid‘ were given an outing by Ozzy Osbourne and co. on a night which guitarist Tony Iommi has previously suggested could prove to be their last gig following a stop-start, but hugely successful, reunion which was set in motion at the start of 2012.

Arcade Fire began the second annual British Summer Time on Thursday, while The Libertines are due to make their major live return at the event tonight.

Black Sabbath setlist (NME):

‘War Pigs’
‘Into the Void’
‘Snowblind’
‘Age of Reason’
‘Black Sabbath’
‘Behind the Wall of Sleep’
‘N.I.B.’
‘Fairies Wear Boots’
‘Rat Salad’
‘Iron Man’
‘God Is Dead?’
‘Children of the Grave’
‘Paranoid/’Sabbath Bloody Sabbath’
