Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys up for Best Rock Video at 2014 MTV VMAs

The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Imagine Dragons, Linkin Park and Lorde will battle it out for the Best Rock Video prize at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards after the nominations were announced yesterday (July 17th).

Elsewhere, the promos for Arcade Fire‘s ‘Afterlife‘ and ‘Reflektor‘ have been nominated in the Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction categories respectively, while OK Go also have two nominations thanks to their typically ambitious ‘The Writing’s On The Wall‘ video. Jack White goes up against the band in the Best Visual Effects section courtesy of ‘Lazaretto‘.

The 2014 MTV VMAs are held on August 24th The Forum in Inglewood, California.
