Damon Albarn used his solo concert in Boston earlier this week to bring out Blur‘s lightning quick single ‘Song 2‘ for a rare live performance. Watch some fan footage below.
Albarn is out on the road with his touring band The Heavy Seas supporting debut solo album ‘Everyday Robots‘ and has more US shows in Baltimore, Raleigh, North Carolina and Atlanta coming up ahead of a visit to the Bonnaroo festival on June 14th.
“The album is full of tracks that establish Albarn’s position as the always interesting – and genuinely interested – musician, never shying away from opportunities that will expand horizons from the view of the Westway,” Live4ever’s ‘Everyday Robots’ review states.
“However, some of the locations and anecdotes shared within this body of work such as Leytonstone to Westborough Grove and elsewhere, which although are the starting points for his life, also parallel his nature as a newbie to the idea of a solo record.”
