The Libertines‘ 2014 live reunion will extend beyond the summer festival season thanks to a short run of European dates which have been confirmed.
The band’s comeback started with news of their headline booking at British Summer Time in London next month, and has grown further with dates at Benicassim and Optimus Alive adding to a warm-up show at Glasgow Barrowlands on June 29th.
The European tour – their first for over a decade – starts at the Zenith venue in Paris on September 30th. From there, they visit the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam on October 2nd, Brussels’ FN Club (3rd), Columbiahalle in Berlin (4th) and finally Dusseldorf’s Mitsubishi Electric Halle on the 5th.
The Libertines’ return could also include new material if Pete Doherty and Carl Barat are successful in delivering on the promises to sit down and work on fresh ideas which were made by the pair during interviews last month.
