Jagwar Ma, BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe, Beardy Man and Rudimental will be providing the support when Kasabian return home to Leicester for a gig at the city’s Victoria Park on Saturday night (June 21st).

Kasabian will arrive in Leicester armed with the UK’s number one album thanks to their latest studio release ‘48:13‘ and just under a week before they headline Glastonbury.

In interview with the BBC last week, guitarist Serge Pizzorno spoke of his belief that the show will prove to be ‘their moment’. “The reason we chose that location is that it’s the centre of the town,” Pizzorno said.

“It’s not on the outskirts in a farm, or anything. The train station is two minutes’ walk, and it sits on the top of a hill where you can pretty much see all of Leicester. It’s an unbelievable venue.”

“The audience will see people from just down the road who created all this from nothing. That’s why that gig is so important, for our city to realise that anything is possible. To go onstage and celebrate 10 years of our band, with our best record yet, is great. That’s going to be our moment, I think.”
