A crowd of around 50,000 people witnessed Kasabian‘s Leicester homecoming at the city’s Victoria Park on Saturday (June 21st).
A little over a week before their headline spot at Glastonbury, Kasabian treated the crowd to a set which pulled out firm favourites from each stage of their 10-year career, including ‘Fire‘, ‘Club Foot‘, ‘Switchblade Smiles‘ and ‘Shoot The Runner‘.
“We’ve been planning to play Victoria Park for years,” guitarist Serge Pizzorno told NME pre-gig. “It’s amazing that we’re taking over a whole city, and then bringing everyone from all over the world to Leicester and showing them where we’re from.”
