Julian Casablancas has brought The Voidz on board for his first solo release since 2009’s ‘Phrazes For The Young‘.
In September 23rd, Julian Casablancas & The Voidz release their first album ‘Tyranny‘ on Casablancas’ own Cult Records label. It was produced by Shawn Everett.
“Tyranny has come in many forms throughout history,” Casablancas says. “Now, the good of business is put above anything else, as corporations have become the new ruling body. Most decisions seem to be made like ones of a medieval king: whatever makes profit while ignoring and repressing the truth about whatever suffering it may cause (like pop music, for that matter).”
The Voidz are Jeramy Gritter, Amir Yaghmai, Jeff Kite, Jake Bercovici and Alex Carapetis. They begin a US tour with Casablancas from October:
