Jimmy Page to receive Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef award


jimmypagesqThis year’s prestigious Silver Clef Award will be presented to Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, who has offered, ‘A big thank you to Nordoff Robbins and everyone involved’.

The Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards has been helping to support the music charity for the best part of four decades, raising over £8m. Black Sabbath have also been confirmed as a recipient this year, and will be handed the Ambassadors Of Rock gong.




“Winning the Ambassadors of Rock award from Nordoff Robbins is a huge honour,” frontman Ozzy Osbourne has said. “Music is our life, and we couldn’t live without it. The world can’t survive without music and this is a very special charity that brings music to everyone.”

“There are a lot of talented people already being honoured at the awards and we are looking forward to celebrating with them at the O2 Silver Clefs this summer.”

Those previously announced for the 2014 ceremony when it is held at the London Hilton on Friday, July 4th include Paloma Faith, Tom Jones and Laura Mvula.
