Another day, another US gig cancelled by Morrissey

morrisseywideAnother date on Morrissey‘s North American tour has been cancelled due to a virus which spread through the camp earlier this week and caused a gig in Atlanta to be pulled – the fourth time that city has suffered a postponement since December 2012.

Morrissey had hoped to be back onstage in Atlantic City tonight (June 6th), but a statement confirms that show has been moved to later in the month.

“As Morrissey and the touring party recover from a virus, the engagement in Atlantic City at the Revel Ovation Hall has been postponed to Sunday, June 22,” the statement reads. “All previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date. The tour will resume as originally scheduled, without question, at the Boston Opera House on Saturday, June 7.”

Morrissey’s North American fans are no strangers to gigs being cancelled after his 2012/13 visit was interrupted by a succession of health problems. A planned live return in South America also ended early due to similar issues.
