Video: The Crookes’ new single ‘Don’t Put Your Faith In Me’ released today

The latest Crookes single ‘Don’t Put Your Faith In Me‘ is out today (May 12th) on Fierce Panda – check out its official video in full by clicking on the snapshot below.

The track is taken from The Crookes’ recent ‘Soapbox‘ LP, and is described by guitarist Daniel Hopewell as ‘one of the most straightforward and to-the-point songs they’ve ever written’.

“It takes a long time as a songwriter to get to the point where you don’t worry about what the listener might think of you and to be honest and expose your flaws is a difficult thing to do,” he adds. “I think it’s a brave song and I’m happy to play the anti-hero in it.”

The Crookes have just completed a tour of the US which took them to the South By Southwest Festival in March, when Live4ever sat down with the band for a chat.

“The whole of the US trip was incredible,” Hopewell says of the tour. “It wasn’t just the shows but the travelling in between the cities that really excited me. We fully lived out an adolescent ‘On The Road’ fantasy.”
