Damon Albarn has premiered the official video for his ‘Everyday Robots‘ track ‘Mr. Tembo‘ featuring the titular hero Albarn met whilst travelling in Tanzania. Have a watch in full on Live4ever via the snapshot below.
As well as the footage of the elephant, the video also shows Albarn and his band The Heavy Seas performing in the City Mission Church in Leytonstone with the choir which features on the studio version of the track.
‘Everyday Robots’ was released earlier this month, containing the ‘frailties and fragilities of a solo album’ according to Live4ever’s review.
“The title-track’s gentle, mystical and skeletal structure discusses the pros and cons of being in an age consumed by flashing lights and forwarding emails, a trademark mismatch of electronic instrumentation and folk traits which deliver the song’s nature as being both man and machine wrapped in wires, but also warmth,” the article reads.
