The Inspiral Carpets have confirmed a gig at Manchester’s Band On The Wall next month as they prepare to release a new, self-titled album in September.

The hometown show adds to dates in Buckley, Oxford and Bedford, as well festival appearances at Isle Of Wight, T In The Park and Frome.

“In what is already looking like our biggest year since 1994, it’s great to be invited to play at T In The Park and the Isle Of Wight festivals,” Clint Boon says. “We’re also off to do gigs in Spain, Italy and a UK tour in December. And our first new album in 20 years is out in September.”

“This will be the first time we have played at Band on The Wall and I can’t wait – it’s a legendary Manchester music venue,” Stephen Holt adds. “It will also be great to try out some of the new album tracks alongside the classic greatest hits tunes and Dung 4 favourites.”

The Inspiral Carpets‘, due to feature two past singles and ten other new tracks, follows the re-release of the band’s ‘lost’ debut album for Record Store Day 2014.
