HBO has released an official teaser video of Nirvana‘s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame – have a watch of the band’s surviving members performing ‘Lithium‘ with St Vincent‘s Annie Clark live in Brooklyn on April 10th below.
HBO will air the ceremony in the US tomorrow (May 31st), which saw Nirvana added to the Hall Of Fame at the earliest opportunity along with Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt.
The ceremony witnessed a rare live reunion for Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear as they were joined by several special guests on the night. Writing afterwards, Novoselic hailed the evening as a big success: “I am so happy about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame event and how it went so well,” he declared.
“Earlier that week there were three long days of rehearsals in NYC. I feel we conjured the spirit of the band, and we could not have done that alone. This, for me, is a bittersweet notion as we all miss Kurt so much. But considering we were inducted, the show had to go on.”
