Graham Coxon has joined the British Summertime Festival bill on July 5th which will be headlined by a reuniting Libertines.

Coxon, who headlined Hyde Park himself as part of Blur to help celebrate the end of the London Olympics back in 2012, is a new addition for the date along with Wolf Alice, Swim Deep, Reverend and The Makers, I Am Kloot, The View, Darlia, The Rifles, Cuckoolander, Brownbear, Raglans, The Twang, Slaves, The Jacques, Franko Fraize and Lois & The Love.

Chief supports The Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park and The Enemy had already been confirmed when rumours of a second return for The Libertines since their split in 2004 came to fruition last month.

Both Pete Doherty and Carl Barat have discussed the possibility of the band having new material on board in time for their first live outing since the Reading/Leeds festival of 2010.

“We were talking about doing some new songs,” Doherty most recently told NME. “Or even better, finishing some old songs that we always knew should have been on ‘Up The Bracket’ if we could have been arsed. I could hum them and Carl would know about them.”
