Having, by some distance, secured the fastest selling album of the year so far, Coldplay have also topped the UK Record Store Chart with their new LP ‘Ghost Stories‘.

The album is at number one immediately ahead of The Black Keys and ‘Turn Blue‘, with Oasis a further place back thanks to the remastered, re-released edition of their classic 1994 debut album ‘Definitely Maybe‘.

First launched in conjunction with the 2012 Record Store Day celebrations, the UK Record Store Chart is compiled entirely from sales registered at 100 of Britain’s leading independent music outlets.
