Arctic Monkeys‘ frontman Alex Turner has put a stripped-back, acoustic slant on Tame Impala‘s ‘Lonerism‘ album track ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards‘. Have a watch below.

Turner aired the cover for the Australian radio station Triple J’s ‘Like a Version’ series. Tame Impala will join the Arctic Monkeys when the band play outdoor UK gigs at London’s Finsbury Park later this month. Miles Kane and Royal Blood are also on board for the shows.

The concerts will be something of a culmination of the huge success enjoyed by the Arctics since the release of their fifth studio album ‘AM‘ last year.

“‘AM’ is a near flawless, brazen, yet reflective dancefloor filling triumph of an album,” Live4ever’s review reads. “A defiantly risk taking chemical blend in the myriad of past and contemporary genres on offer produces thrilling results, continuing the trend with each passing record of subtle changes to maintain the listener’s interest.”
