Twin Atlantic‘s new cut ‘Heart and Soul‘ has been premiered as part of BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World series – have a listen below.
“Our aim was always to make songs this size,” singer Sam McTrusty observes. “Coming from a punk rock background, it took a while – we like to say we went the scenic route.”
“But it was the right route for us, full of interesting stops on which we learnt a lot – about ourselves, about each other, about how to make music that connects with fans which is always honest, never forced.”
The track is offering a first glimpse of the band’s new album, which is due to follow 2011’s ‘Free‘ this summer on Red Bull Records.
Festival bookings at T In The Park and The Great Escape are also due around that time, with other dates expected to be confirmed shortly.
