The Rolling Stones have confirmed the rescheduled dates for the Australasian tour which was postponed last month after the sudden death of Mick Jagger‘s girlfriend L’Wren Scott.

“It’s been a long road, it’s been a tragic road, but I’m so pleased for the fans the tour has been rescheduled,” promoter Michael Gudinski has said. “They were so pleased when they arrived in Australia, they were so looking forward to it.”

“They’ll still be the opening act to perform at Adelaide Oval. Adelaide sold 52,000 tickets and we’ve had just over 500 refunds. The Rock show will have a couple of special guests we’ll announce just before the on sale.”

The Adelaide Oval gig is to be held on October 25th, while a new show at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley and an additional night at the Perth Arena have also been announced. Fans will be able to attend the gigs with their original tickets, but those who cannot make the re-jigged dates are being urged to seek a refund from their original point of purchase.

Perth Arena, Perth (29)

Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne (5)
