The Jim Jones Revue return to New York this weekend for a show at Webster Hall on April 19th which will help launch both the US author Paul Pope’s new sci-fi novel Escapo and another run of North American shows for the band.

Moving on from New York, The Jim Jones Revue will be in Vancouver on April 21st and press on for most of the remainder of this month, closing out in San Diego on the 27th.

Having released the ‘Savage Heart‘ album back in 2012, the group soon followed up with the standalone single ‘Collision Boogie‘, whose genesis has been described by Jim Jones thus:

“Collision Boogie is a sort of personal user’s guide to some of the things that you might come crashing into in life. It was originally inspired from hearing a Jamaican dancehall track blaring out of a car in East London; but by the time we had an arrangement together, it ended up with more of a New Orleans flavor.”
