The Horrors announce London 100 Club gig

horrorsFive days after the release of their new album ‘Luminous‘, The Horrors will play a date at London’s 100 Club on May 10th.

The headline show joins bookings at festivals such as Field Day, Isle of Wight and Reading/Leeds as The Horrors finally get cracking following a series of false starts to their latest album which goes back to when a release was first expected in the September of last year.

As outlined by guitarist Josh Hayward when speaking to Drowned In Sound, The Horrors used the extended studio time to gradually reshape their follow-up to 2011’s sublime ‘Skying‘ LP.

“We had quite a long time away from it so there’s no harm in going back in and looking over the album again to see if there’s anything we could do differently,” he said. “The album was very us at that moment. Now it’s been put back there’s a good chance we will end up wanting to change it because we’re constantly having new ideas and trying different things.”
