The Cribs have added Leefest – the 2013 AIM Best Independent Festival – to their summer headline commitments which also include Tramlines and Truck.

Leefest is held at Highams Hill Farm in south London between July 11th-13th and, alongside its aforementioned first headliners, has announced the bookings of Frightened Rabbit, , Childhood Blessa, Young Fathers, Only Real, The Bohicas, Blanaevon, Years & Years and IYES.

The Cribs are expected to return soon with two studio albums – one showcasing their punk side and one displaying a poppier element, as Gary Jarman explained recently.

“I feel like there’s two sides to the band – a punk rock side and a poppy side – and we’ve always tried to balance them,” he told NME. “The idea this time is to let them exist separately as different records. The songs don’t have names yet, but there are two in particular I’m really into. I really think one of them is a pop smash. And there’s one that’s all fuzz bass and geek-rock style synth lines.”
