Muse were forced to pull a show in Brazil yesterday (April 3rd) due to an unspecified band illness but still hope to fulfill their commitments at Lollapalooza – also in Brazil – this weekend.

“To our fans in Brazil, It is with great sadness that we have to cancel the show tomorrow (Thursday 3rd April) at Grand Metropole here in São Paulo due to illness,” a statement read. “It is our hope that with the additional rest, we will be able to assure the Lollapalooza show on Saturday goes ahead as planned…With Regret, Matt, Dom, and Chris.”

Muse are on the live trail as they press on with a new album which Matt Bellamy said late last year he wants out in early 2015.

“I’ve written some good tracks actually,” Bellamy told Triple J. “We haven’t had a chance to rehearse them out yet. We’ll take a break next year for a little few months and then we’ll get in the studio. If it all goes very well, the new album could well be early 2015 or late 2015.”
