Next month, ‘Reservoir‘ is to become the latest single taken from Metronomy‘s recent album ‘Love Letters‘.

The track will tread its own path on June 2nd, coming complete with a remix from Stuart Price. It was described as, ‘Beeping and bonking along with a frisky energy, a sort of OMD gone boffin schtick’, in our review, which also commented:

“Put bluntly, ‘Love Letters‘ is less of a progression than between any other Metronomy album to date; this however is a good thing. Recording in an all analogue studio (London’s Toe Rag) would probably have been considered a perverse choice for a band who’d been mangling electronics around since the beginning, but this lack of available trickery suits these songs, most of which are low key, fragile and blanketed by the weirdness of 21st century living.”

‘Love Letters’ followed the Mercury-nominated 2011 LP ‘The English Riviera‘ last month, disturbing the Top 10 on the UK Album Chart in the process.
