Live4ever’s New Tunes Guide feat. Blueprint Blue, Ought and more

Blueprint Blue and Ought provide this week’s New Tunes Guide highlights.

Blueprint Blue  – Melissa Rigby, Huw Webb and Elliot Hayward – release their latest EP ‘Undertoad’ on May 5th. “We wanted to capture what our shows are like so it was recorded completely live and we kept in all the mistakes, bum notes and snare buzz,” they say of the EP. “The first three songs are about either being a parent or having parents. The last song is about having panic attacks. The title ‘Undertoad’ is a reference to John Irving’s novel ‘The world according to Garp’.”

Ought are getting ready to release their debut album ‘More Than Any Other Day’ on the 28th of this month and have shared another track, ‘Habit’. ‘More Than Any Other Day’ is the result of a week of recording and mixing at Montreal’s Hotel2Tango with engineer Radwan Moumneh in November 2013.

These and eight other picks of the week can be found by scrolling through our latest collection. Find out much more about this week’s featured artists by clicking on their individual names, and you can catch up with all our previous editions direct through the New Tunes Guide logo below.

Another collection of great new music is being celebrated this week with a giveaway of a copy of Wilko Johnson & Roger Daltrey’s superb recent album ‘Going Back Home’. Once you’ve been through the tracks, get busy with the Retweets and Likes for the article on Twitter and Facebook to be in with a chance of winning (closes Friday, April 18th). Good luck!
