Michael Eavis has shed some more light on the identity of Glastonbury’s yet-to-be-confirmed third headliner.

Arcade Fire and Kasabian have already been revealed as main Pyramid Stage acts for 2014, but the Saturday night headliner still remains a mystery to the more than 100,000 people set to attend in June due to ‘contractual reasons’.

However Eavis has offered up a few clues when speaking to the Bristol Post, describing the final bill-topper as ‘one of the world’s biggest selling bands at the moment’.

“We are expecting to announce the full line-up at the beginning of May and everything is now in place,” he said. “We are more than happy with the calibre of the acts and the headliner on Saturday will be one of the biggest-selling bands in the world at the moment.”

Later, Glastonbury’s organiser touched on the subject of Oasis being linked with the festival, confirming that despite recent rumours he ‘hadn’t even considered’ inviting the defunct group to Worthy Farm, but added a third headline appearance for the Gallagher brothers could be more of a possibility in ‘four or five years time’.
