Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis has promised new stages, venues and an expanded night-time experience when the event kicks off next month.

“We’ve got a few new little venues and a couple of new stages that are still to be announced – I can’t tell you much about them,” she has revealed to NME. “And Strummerville are coming up to The Park too.”

“Arcadia has got a massive new space a bit nearer to The Park and it’s kind of like a whole town, really. The late night area will be really spread out; there’s so much late night entertainment everywhere now, not just in one area.”

With Arcade Fire and Kasabian now confirmed, the identity of Glastonbury’s Saturday night headliner remains a secret due to ‘contractual reasons’. Acts such as Metallica, Fleetwood Mac, Prince, David Bowie and The Stone Roses have all been linked with the spot, while Radiohead recently became the newest name to be rumoured for Worthy Farm in June.
