The new line-up of Australia’s John Butler Trio arrived in Manchester last weekend as part of the band’s biggest ever European tour. Live4ever’s Gary Mather captured the action from the Manchester Academy – check the gallery out in full by clicking on the lead image below.
The tour has been sparked by this year’s ‘Flesh & Blood’ album. “I have been really looking forward to playing these shows for a while now and to be introducing Grant with all his funk and flavours to all our fans is a real thrill,” John Butler says of the gigs, which see drummer Grant Gerathy joining up. “Grant, Byron and I have been having an awesome time fine tuning the new album and spicing up our old songs. We can’t wait to unveil it to the fans.”
Shows continue tonight (April 29th) at Nottingham Rock City. There’s then gigs at the Brixton Academy in London on April 30th and May concerts in Bristol and Plymouth.
