With their latest album ‘Ghost Stories‘ out on May 19th, Coldplay have unveiled the details of a handful of low-key, worldwide tour dates for the coming months.

Starting at E-Werk in Cologne, Germany on April 25th, the band will visit cities in Europe, North America and Japan, playing a sole UK date at the Royal Albert Hall in London on July 1st.

‘Ghost Stories‘ is the follow-up to 2011′s ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ and attests to Chris Martin‘s promise last year that Coldplay would be returning to the spotlight after just a short break from touring, albeit seemingly – at least for these initial shows – in a much more understated form than the big-budget bonanza which ran throughout their previous world tour.

Tour dates:

APRIL
E-Werk, Cologne, Germany (25)

MAY
Beacon Theatre, New York (5)
Royce Hall, Los Angeles (19)
Casino de Paris, Paris, France (28)

JUNE
Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan (12)

JULY
Royal Albert Hall, London (1)
