Suede and Frank Turner are to lead this year’s Kendal Calling festival in the Lake District over the weekend of August 1st-3rd.

Kendal’s early line-up also has stand-out bookings in the form of De La Soul, Happy Mondays and Miles Kane as it prepares to stage its ninth annual event.

Suede are confirmed as they look to add another new album to the reunion which was initiated in 2010. ‘Bloodsports‘ – the band’s first studio LP in over a decade – was released in March last year.

“We want to carry on writing and pushing forward, so we’re taking it somewhere else now,” frontman Brett Anderson told NME in January. “I think it’ll be out next year, as we’re just writing at the moment so realistically it will be next year.”
