Razorlight to make live return at Gloucester festival

Razorlight‘s live return will happen later this year at the Sport Beat Festival in Gloucester.

A new, piratical form of the band was unveiled by Johnny Borrell back at the start of 2011 with an album expected to follow soon thereafter. That didn’t emerge however, with Borrell subsequently telling NME he didn’t feel their label wanted another record from the band.

Instead, he launched a solo career with ‘Borrell 1‘ in 2013, but again hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons when the LP failed to make the UK’s Top 100 after selling just 594 copies in its first week.

Now though, Razorlight are ready to fire up again. With a new album once more said to be in the pipeline, the group has confirmed a headline gig at Sport Beat on June 8th. Also on the event’s bill are Reverend & the Makers, The Hoosiers, The Ordinary Boys, Lucy Spraggan, Matt Cardle, By The Rivers, The Struts, Menswear, Shy Nature, George Barnett and Isaiah Dreads.
