Nine Black Alps have moved to pretty swiftly follow-up the 2012 album ‘Sirens‘ and will release their fifth album next month.

It can now be said ‘Sirens’ started a period of increased activity for the Manchester band which formed in 2003, after the single ‘Novokaine’ also made itself known at the end of last year to coincide with their 10th anniversary.

New album ‘Candy For The Clowns’ is to be released on April 21st and is being previewed with the track ‘Supermarket Clothes‘ which can be heard courtesy of Soundcloud not far from here. Produced by the band, it was also mixed and engineered by Mark Winterburn at the Edge Recording Studios.

The album’s release sparks a headline tour of the UK, full details below, as well as an appearance at Camden Rocks on May 31st.
