Fat White Family frontman Lias Saoudi has embarked on an impassioned tirade against Alex Turner following the Arctic Monkeys singer’s now strangely forensically examined speech at last month’s Brit Awards.
“Words are not enough to describe how much of a fucking buffoon I think that man is,” said Saoudi, who caused a bit of a stir himself after being seen in nothing but his birthday suit on early Fat White Family promos.
“I find it unbelievable that people think of him the way they do. The guy is clearly a moron. He was talking about the universe and cyclical natures and ‘invoice me for the microphone’. What are you talking about man? You’re a fucking millionaire. His latest record, I fucking hated it.”
Alex Turner had a few well oiled words for those who have written rock and roll’s obituary during recent years after his band collected the Brit for Best Album in February. And, with nothing else of any interest emerging from the ceremony, every last syllable has since been picked apart and over analysed.
“I hate that little cunt, he’s a fucking joke,” Saoudi continues to NME. “It was the least rock’n’roll thing I’ve ever seen in my fucking life. His speech was horrendously embarrassing. It made me sweat, like when you see something that really makes you cringe. Massive cock. Print that.”
