Coldplay will return on May 19th with their new album ‘Ghost Stories‘.

The news follows last week’s out-of-the-blue unveiling of ‘Midnight‘, and comes complete with a second new track entitled ‘Magic‘ which can be heard via YouTube at the end of this article.

Ghost Stories‘ succeeds 2011’s ‘Mylo Xyloto‘, and confirms Chris Martin‘s insistence that the band would be returning to the music world sooner rather than later after they reached the end of that album’s campaign trail just over a year ago.

“I’ve been writing songs and I’m so fired up about the band’s future,” Martin was quoted as saying in the Daily Star towards the end of 2012.

“I’m fortunate to do what I do and no way do I want to stop. This three-year break idea only came about because I said at a gig in Australia that we might not be back there for three years. That’s probably true, but that’s just how a world tour works. No chance are we taking a three-year break.”

‘Ghost Stories’ tracklist:

‘Always In My Head’
‘Magic’
‘Ink’
‘True Love’
‘Midnight’
‘Another’s Arms’
‘Oceans’
‘A Sky Full Of Stars’
‘O’
