MAS Records has announced its latest free showcase of new music will promote the talents of Black Anvils, Thieving Lloyd Cole and Happy Daggers.

The new music mentoring and development programme was founded in 2001 by Kevyn Gammond, and now counts Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant and Karl Hyde of the dance/rock fusion pioneers Underworld as its patrons.

“Our staff will be available on the night to explain our free artist development services,” Scott Garrett, project manager of MAS Records, says. “Any new and upcoming bands interested in what we can offer are welcome to attend and speak with us. We can help your band grow and develop. This event is free to the general public, and to anyone who wants to know what matters in today’s music.”

“Part of these monthly showcases that we have assembled will feature an enviable roster of artists that are currently part of the Development Programme,” creative director Kevyn Gammond adds. “The standard of these acts is extremely high, and we are sure they will inspire other bands in Leeds to become involved with MAS Records.”

The latest Leeds event is held on Thursday, March 27th from 7.30pm at the city’s Fox & Newt venue.
