Wilko Johnson and Who frontman Roger Daltrey performed a special, one-off concert in London last night ahead of the release of their joint album ‘Going Back Home‘ through the reformed Chess label on March 10th.

Appearing at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the pair aired a set heavy on tracks due to feature on that album – some of which date right back to Johnson’s time with Dr. Feelgood in the early seventies.

There was also a live rendition of the Bob Dylan cover ‘Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window‘.

“It turned out we both loved Johnny Kidd & The Pirates,” Roger Daltrey has said of their first meeting in 2010. “They’d been a big influence on both our bands. That heavy power trio sound, backing up a singer; it’s a British institution. No-one does that better than us.”
