The career of Pink Floyd will be celebrated in Italy later this year with a ‘multi-sensory exhibition’.

Opening in Milan in September, organiser Fran Tomasi promises a ‘surreal, multi-sensory journey through Pink Floyd’s extraordinary worlds’, documenting their life from the early, Syd Barrett-inspired psychedelia of ‘The Piper At The Gates of Dawn‘ through to the prog masterpiece that is ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon‘ and the present day.

“If ever a band lent itself to a major retrospective exhibition it’s Pink Floyd,” curator Aubrey Powell believes. “For a curator, selecting what to include from such a treasure trove is both a dream and a nightmare. However, there were elements that just had to be included, for example a 20 metre-wide sculpture of The Wall, five metre high inflatables, and, of course, a flying pig.”

Their Mortal Remains will open to the public for a month from September 19th at La Fabbrica Del Vapore in Milan. Tickets are available from February 27th.
