Oasis will re-release ‘Definitely Maybe‘ in remastered form later this year to mark its 20th anniversary – according to Mojo Magazine.

In rounding off a dedicated article on the album in their new edition, Mojo claims ‘Definitely Maybe’ is to be available on CD, special edition 3CD, vinyl and deluxe box set formats from May 19th this year.

If the rumours are rubber-stamped in due course, it would prove to the first official recognition from the now defunct band of the landmark year for their lauded debut album after numerous claims that lucrative offers of celebratory live gigs have been turned down by Noel Gallagher.

Released in August 1994, ‘Definitely Maybe’ became, at the time, the fastest selling debut LP in British music history – a mantle now held by the Arctic Monkeys. It sparked a meteoric rise to worldwide fame for the group when the follow-up ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?‘ arrived just over a year later. In 2004, its 10th birthday was recognised with an extensive CD/DVD package.
