Flood and Alan Moulder have been named the UK Producers Of The Year at the Music Producers Guild Awards – meaning they will also automatically pick up this year’s Brit Award for Best Producer.
The prolific studio twiddlers have been recognised for their work on Foals‘ brilliant 2013 album ‘Holy Fire‘.
Speaking to the BBC, Foals’ Edwin Congreave paid tribute to the impact made by the pair on the band’s album, particularly highlighting ‘My Number‘ which he believes was transformed into ‘probably one of the best songs we’ve ever done’ by their producers.
Moulder, meanwhile, remarked: “We’re fussy about who we work with together. The great thing about picking a band like Foals is our sensibility is the same. You are only as good as the band you get to work with and their ideas and their ambition, where they came from, it was where we wanted to be – so it was a good choice.”
