Damon Albarn will intimately showcase his debut solo album ‘Everyday Robots‘ with two London shows shortly after its release.

The gigs are scheduled at the Rivioli Ballroom in Crofton Park on April 30th, while the second arrives a day later at the People’s Palace in Mile End. Tickets can be snapped up for £35 a pop from this Friday (February 14th).

‘Everyday Robots’ is out on April 28th and includes contributions from Brian Eno and Bat For Lashes singer Natasha Khan as well as producer Richard Russell. It sees Albarn finally plunging feet-first into the solo world after many previous projects, though speaking to BBC 6Music in January, he revealed things could have gone in a very different direction.

“We first sort of played around with the idea of starting another band, but I think we both realised that’s an exhausting process, starting again,” he said – the ‘we’ being himself and Russell. “I mean, it’s fun, but you know, coming up with a name and all of that stuff…”
