Remastered Led Zeppelin albums ready to be re-released

ledzeppelinwideThe long planned series of re-releases surrounding Led Zeppelin‘s back catalogue will finally get underway at some point this year, Jimmy Page has said on his official website.

Page first told Mojo back in October 2012 that he had begun working on remastering Led Zeppelin’s nine studio albums, with individual box-sets and previously unreleased material reported to be in the works.

And writing on his website, the iconic guitarist has now confirmed the band’s first three records – the sprawled out blues companions ‘Led Zeppelin I‘ and ‘…II‘, along with the more acoustic-tinged ‘Led Zeppelin III‘, are now all but ready to be re-released.

“It’s good news for the New Year,” he revealed. “The first of the Led Zeppelin releases – comprising of Led Zeppelin I, Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin III and their companion discs – will be released this year. I’ve also been working on some of my own material from the archives that will be unleashed in 2014.”
