Foster The People have confirmed they will release the follow-up to their 2011 commercial breakthrough ‘Torches‘ in March via Columbia.

The announcement has come complete with a stream of new song ‘Coming Of Age‘ which can be seen below. Discussing their latest studio effort – which is to be entitled ‘Supermodel‘ – last November frontman Mark Foster said he expected their new sound, which moves away from the winning formula especially noted on hit single ‘Pumped Up Kicks‘, to polarise fans.

“Once I write something, I never try to write that same style again, because I get very schizophrenic musically,” he told Rolling Stone. “This record, I went into it wanting to do something more organic and human, because the first record was so electronic and synthetic – in a cool way, I’m not putting it down, that’s just what it was. So this record, I wanted to make something more human and let the songs breathe and grow and turn and take left turns and not come back if they want to.”

‘Supermodel’ tracklist:

‘Are You What You Want To Be’
‘Ask Yourself’
‘Coming Of Age’
‘Nevermind’
‘Pseudologia Fantastica’
‘The Angelic Welcome Of Mr. Jones’
‘Best Friend’
‘A Beginner’s Guide To Destroying The Moon’
‘Goats In Trees’
‘The Truth’
‘Fire Escape’
‘Tabloid Super Junky’
